A chef at an upscale New York restaurant was shocked to be given an extremely specific burger order, all because a diner wanted to feed their dog.、
Upscale:高档
Specific:
A picture of the receipt was uploaded to Twitter, and has amassed thousands of comments over the absurd requests listed.
Amass:
Absurd:
"My friend is the chef at an extremely fancy nyc restaurant and this is an order he received today."
Fancy:
The first part of the order seems pretty straight forward: a medium rare beef burger with no cheese and a side salad.
But it all starts to get very specific when the worker notes that this is for a dog and starts to list all the requirements stated by the customer.
"No salt, no oil, no seasoning, no pepper," the order reads.
"Absolutely plain, no toppings, no garnishes."
Topping:
Garnish:
You think that would be enough for the chef to understand they just want a plain beef patty, but apparently the pet owner doesn't think so.
Plain:
It continues: " No bacon, no pickles, no onion, no bread, no lettuce."
"No side salad."
They then finally state what they should have just said in the beginning, which was: "Just a plain pattie – this is for a dog."
More than a thousand of people have flocked to the comment section of the post to share their views on the spoilt pooch.
Spoilt:
Pooch:
Flock:聚集
"Does the dog talk to it's owner to make sure the patty isn't salted?" one person asked.
"I'm so confused. Wouldn't it be easier to just…. Cook it yourself," another said.
Other people were more concerned that the owner didn't even let their dog have a bit of bacon.
"The dog deserves bacon, if he doesn't get cheese he should get bacon," one person claimed.
Another agreed, writing: "I don't know, no cheese or bacon. My dog would have been unimpressed."
Unimpressed:
